Hi folks.
My wife Jeannette and I are close friends with fellow musician Ian Thomas and his wife Catherine. In January, tragedy struck their family, when their 44 year old son, Jake, (a father of 4) was involved in a snowmobile accident that severed his spine and broke several other bones in his body.
He is now paraplegic, and there are complications which will require further surgeries in the future. He is in a lot of continuing pain. His sister Carrie is organizing a silent online auction, and there are fundraiser concerts that will happen in Burlington at the Performing Arts Center, and in Bracebridge, where ‘Lunch at Allen’s’ (his dad’s vocal quartet) will perform – May 6 & 12 [more below].
The family house in Bracebridge is getting extensively renovated, because Jake has to be out of the rehab / care facility he’s in by April 5. There’s still a ton of ice & snow where they live, but the place needed ramps, doorways widened, bathrooms altered, etc.

JAKE & ONLINE SILENT AUCTION and SPONSORSHIP
Running from April 29 to May 15, the online silent auction straddles the timelines of both concerts, and provides an opportunity to help regardless of geographic location. All monies raised will be used to help retrofit the family home and vehicles, to purchase the necessary mobility devices, and to afford Jake as much comfort as possible in his day-to-day living.
